You won't get any more starters with local ties in a National Football League game this season than when the unbeaten Denver Broncos scored a 33-26 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.

Two University of Hawaii products, defensive end Maa Tanuvasa and kicker Jason Elam, represented Denver, and Molokai native Kimo von Oelhoffen started at nose tackle for the Bengals.

Tanuvasa had three solo tackles while Elam kicked field goals of 33 and 37 yards.

Von Oelhoffen was not credited with any tackles.

Waimanalo's Esera Tuaolo had one assisted tackle while subbing at end for Atlanta in the Falcons' 37-15 victory over St. Louis.

Ink Aleaga subbed at linebacker for New Orleans and had two tackles in the Saints' 31-17 loss to Carolina.

Former St. Louis School and University of Utah running back Chris Fuamatu-Ma'afala played on third down and on special teams for the Steelers in their 41-31 loss to Tennessee, but did not record a carry or reception.

At Detroit, the Arizona Cardinals won 17-15 despite the absence of former Leilehua and West Virginia running back Adrian Murrell, who was nursing an injured calf muscle.
