Below, PeeWee got up close and personal with handler Debbie
to himself when meeting PeeWee, a black-throated monitor lizard,
at Honolulu Zoo. The carnivorous species is known for its aggressive
temperament, but handler Sandy Berk has given PeeWee plenty of
love since he hatched in November 1995, and he is
quite docile in her presence.
