Commercial Law Affiliates, a worldwide affiliation of independent business and litigation law firms, has named Christine Kubota of Honolulu as its director. Honolulu lawyer

"Directors meet three times a year," Kubota said. "My first meeting is in July in Kohler, Wis. We will be meeting in Austria in October."
She is a director and attorney at Damon Key Leong Kupchak Hastert, a firm she joined in 1988. Her practice includes business and commercial, real estate, estate planning and immigration law.
Kubota earned a bachelor's degree in international relations and Asian studies from Chaminade University and a law degree from the University of the Pacific in Sacramento, Calif. She is a member of the Japan-America Society of Honolulu and the Pacific Asian Affairs Council.
