Matching tenants with owners

Keith K. T. Ching will be developing a tenant database for Chaney Brooks & Co. to match rental units with compatible renters.

The company manages more than 4,000 condominiums, townhomes and homes.

Ching sees Internet access to this database as useful for owners on the mainland and abroad.

Ching has 23 years in rental management, starting at Chaney Brooks & Co. for six years and the last 10 years at Marcus & Associates.

"My two mentors were Aaron Chaney and Marcus Nishikawa," he said. "They taught me a lot."

Ching also worked at First Hawaiian Bank's trust division, Bishop Trust, and First Federal Savings & Loan.

He is president-elect and education vice president for the Institute of Real Estate Management's Hawaii chapter.
