Stones add 2nd show

Get satisfaction Jan. 24

Star-Bulletin

If you don't have tickets for the Rolling Stones' Jan. 23 concert, you can still get what you want.

The Stones will do a second show in Hawaii on Jan. 24, a Saturday, at Aloha Stadium.

Ticket prices are the same as for the first concert and go on sale Saturday. All 35,000 tickets will be available Saturday, said promoter Tom Moffatt today. For the Jan. 23 concert, Sprint, the tour's sponsor, gave first choice of tickets to its customers.

Overnight lineups will be allowed Friday at Aloha Stadium. Because of the E.K. Fernandez High School Carnival and the flea market this weekend, parking will be allowed in the Kamehameha Lot -- with access from Nimitz Highway -- after midnight, and in the main lot from the Salt Lake entrance after 1 a.m. Ticket buyers may then proceed to Gate 3 to line up.

Those parking after 6 a.m. must pay a 50-cent entry fee. Vehicles arriving after 3 p.m. must pay a $2 parking fee because there will be an ILH game that afternoon.

Moffatt said special arrangements have been made to accommodate the second concert so as not to conflict with the stadium's preparation of the field for the Feb. 1 Pro Bowl.

The Hawaii concerts are part of the Stones' "Bridges to Babylon" tour which began Sept. 23.
