A group approach for the Alana

Colette D. Naniole does her research and then talks to social and fraternal organizations, college sports teams, associations and other groups about the advantages of the Doubletree Alana Waikiki Hotel.

"Publications provide us with a lot of information," Naniole said.

She has seven years in the hotel and travel industry sales and operations. Her most recent position was sales manager at the Ala Moana Hotel working with group travel from social, university, religious, fraternal and association markets.

Naniole also handled specialty markets for the Hawaii Naniloa Hotel in Hilo, worked as a passenger agent for Philippine Airlines and as an operations supervisor for Destination Hawaii, a non-profit group of dive and snorkel operations.

The Doubletree Alana Waikiki is a 313-room hotel owned by Alana Hotel Partners, a group from Taiwan.
