Darren Green will be selling the advantages of the Ihilani Resort & Spa to group travelers in North America. Selling Ihilani as an incentive
"We want to overcome the feeling that Oahu is only Waikiki," he said.
The 387-room Ihilani Resort & Spa is part of the 640-acre Ko Olina Resort in West Oahu.
"My concentration is on the major insurance companies and major corporations which do meetings and focus groups," Green said. "They use a trip to Hawaii as an incentive to boost sales."
Green most recently was national sales manager at the Hilton Waikoloa Village on the Big Island.
In 1991, Green started his career at the Hyatt Hilton Head in South Carolina. He moved to Hawaii three years ago to become the senior sales manager at the Hyatt Maui.
He studied business administration at Eastern Michigan University.
