Stones sites help
curb concert rumors

There is no truth to the rumor that free bottles of Geritol will be given to the first 1,000 people going to the Rolling Stones concert planned for January in Honolulu.

If you want the whole true story, here are a couple of Web sites to help you out.

First the official local site is http://www.global-town.com/stones/, which is organized by local promoter Tom Moffatt.

The Stones run their own site at http://www.the-rolling-stones.com.

The rock group, which three years ago broadcast a concert on the Web, is broadcasting one of its songs from the opening nights of its "Bridges to Babylon" tour on the Internet.

Also when you visit the Stones' site, you are given a chance to vote for your favorite song from the group.

"Home on the Web" is a weekly Friday feature of the Star-Bulletin.
