Football Fever prize
made ribbing worth it

After the ribbing she took, Sandra Davis has extra reason to celebrate winning this week's Football Fever drawing.

When she and her husband, Keith, filled out this week's ballot, they both checked Hawaii over Nevada-Las Vegas. "But something told me to change it," Davis said.

"So then I was cheering for UNLV when we were watching the game Saturday night in the living room. My husband said if I was going to do that, I should go watch in my own room. But I wound up staying in the living room. Ha, ha!"

Sandra received the call, notifying her of her $500 windfall, yesterday afternoon while she was sewing her daughter's sleeping bag for kindergarten nap time. "At first, I didn't believe it. Keith was listening when I took the call and he was laughing and laughing, he was so shocked."

The only game that Sandra got wrong was the New York Giants-St. Louis matchup, which was won by the Rams.

She qualified for the random drawing, by scoring better than our top celebrity panelist (6-4 by two of them).
