Star-BulletinThe cast of the beach-theater play "Fine Dancing" took their chances on the weather -- and got rained out. But that one night of blustery weather prompted the show's producer to extend the run of the play until tomorrow.
Ticket-holders who missed Aug. 17's rainy performance can trade their tickets in for either tonight's or tomorrow's performance.
The play, written and directed by Vilsoni Hereniko, features an all-Polynesian cast and takes place literally "on the beach" at Ala Moana Beach Park's Magic Island Lagoon.
It depicts an abused wife who escapes to the beach and is pursued by her police-officer husband. Once on the shore, she meets Hina, the goddess of the moon, who helps both wife and husband resolve their conflicts by rediscovering Polynesian dance.
Performances are at 7 p.m. today and tomorrow. Tickets are $12.
