"We deal with the budgets, and keep income and expenses in line," Ige said.
He came to Bank of Hawaii in 1989 after experience in many fields.
During his 26-year career, Ige has worked as an environmental health specialist, an industrial hygienist at Tripler Hospital, retail broker at E.F. Hutton and investment officer at First Interstate Bank.
He is treasurer of the Emergency Amateur Radio Club and member of the Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service and the Army Military Affiliate Radio Service. "All of these groups help with communications during parades and races," he said.
He earned master's degrees in both environmental science and business administration from the University of Hawaii.
