Kailua High wins
worldwide contest

And the winner of the international contest for the best Web page designed by a school is: Kailua High School.

The Discovery Channel (http://school.discovery.com/index.html) panel of judges picked Kailua High's page at http://kailuahs.k12.hi.us/ as the best school site of the hundreds entered during the spring 1997 season.

Competition came from around the globe, with schools entered from Singapore, London, New York, San Francisco and Houston.

The Hawaii site features a list of Kailua alumni with Web pages, a message from the principal, plus her e-mail address and a complete rundown on school events and updates on the fall semester.
