Oahu

Today's forecast

Kauai, Maui, Molokai, Lanai

Fair in lee areas, a few showers in windward and mauka areas tonight. Brief showers tomorrow morning, then mostly sunny. Trades 10-25 mph.

Big Island

Windward Kohala, Hamakua, Hilo, Puna: A few showers tonight and tomorrow morning, then partly sunny.

Leeward Kohala, Kona, Kau: Fair tonight after a few showers. Sunny tomorrow morning, cloudy afternoon with a few upslope showers.

Winds trades 10-25 mph except locally variable 5-15 mph in Hilo, Kona areas.

Marine advisories

A high far north-northwest of the islands is nearly stationary.

Small craft advisories remain in effect for all Hawaiian waters due to fresh and gusty tradewinds.

Coastal waters: East winds 15-20 knots, seas 4-8 feet, brief windward showers tonight and tomorrow.

Channels between the islands: East winds 20-25 knots, seas 8-12 feet tonight and tomorrow.

Volcano

The eruption at Puu Oo is continuing, feeding a lava flow that extends to the south.
