Glowing Tribute to Iz

Two hundred people converged on the shore of Pokai Bay last night to
bid farewell to Israel "Iz" Kamakawiwo'ole with a candlelight vigil.
The legendary entertainer died of respiratory problems Thursday at the age of 38.

Tristan Cervantes, 11, gets a kiss from his mother, Dona Cervantes-White,
who received a Certificate of Merit yesterday for helping to save a man
on April 23. Also honored were six other officers: Candace Yoshimura for
the April 23 incident; Thomas Smith and Anthony Taglieri for performing
CPR on a man Feb. 20; and Donn Manzano, Reid Nakai and Kenny Toriki
for disarming a woman on May 1.
