Two for tea

Wendy Arnado and Sherri Hee present a Valentine's High Tea for Lovers, 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aston Waikiki Beachside Hotel; $16.

Their new afternoon-tea service Saturdays and Sundays offers scones, Devonshire cream, sandwiches, isle-fruit preserves and desserts, and fine teas.

"Hawaiiana is the focus of our tea," said Hee. "We give people a little more than the 5-minute blurb about what is Hawaii and what it's all about. This (afternoon tea) was a big part of Hawaiian lifestyle back in 1800s because of the influence of the British."

Reserve 24 hours in advance at 623-1303.
