cruises past Leilehua

Russell Raymundo scored 12 points to lead Campbell to a 45-24 victory over Leilehua last night in an Oahu Interscholastic Association Western Division boy's basketball game.

The Sabers improved to 4-2 while the Mules dropped to 2-5.

Andae Maines led Leilehua with 10 points.

Ernest Limjoco, Jeremy Matanane, Gerald Cook and Danilo Viloria each had four points in the first half as Campbell took a 21-8 lead.

Waipahu 52, Nanakuli 48: At Nanakuli, Jamar Acidera helped the Marauders (4-2) to a 15-8 first-quarter lead in an OIA West game by scoring seven of his team-high 15 points. Waipahu then relied on balance scoring to offset three Nanakuli players who scored in double figures.

Byron Marfil led the Golden Hawks (3-3) with 16 points, Kalama Marfil added 13 and division-leading scorer Emanuel DeFreitas had 11.
