He looks after 2,400 employees at the subsidiary, and has been director of the human resources department since 1983.

Gasher also has experience in labor, personnel relations, employment and operations at A&B and Matson Navigation Co. Inc. He first joined A&B with Matson Terminals Inc. in 1960.

He is board chairman of Forty Plus Inc., which offers a free service to find jobs for executives over 40. Gasher also is active with the American Cancer Society and the Society of Human Resource Management.
