FRIDAY

Keiki Fun: Honolulu Zoo has a day camp for children ages 5 to 11. Costs $25 for the morning, $14 the afternoon, $34 for both. Call 971-7195.

Barnes & Noble: Winnie the Pooh visits the Kahala Mall bookstore at 7 p.m. The Pooh bear also appears at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Murder Mystery: Waikiki Aquarium introduces aspiring detectives to intriguing reef characters, 7 to 9:30 p.m. Costs $10 adults, $8 children. Register by mail. Call 923-9741.



SATURDAY

Hawaii State Library: Children's Storytime, 10:30 a.m. Saturdays through Dec. 7. Call 586-3510.

Borders: Jama Kim Rattigan reads from her books for children at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Waikele store. The Waikele Goosebumps Club works on a script for a movie at 7 p.m.



SUNDAY

Art in the Zoo: Children ages 5 to 11 practice art and meet Honolulu Zoo residents 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays through Dec. 22. Sessions, which include painting and sculpture, are $80. Call 971-7195.

Forest Impressions: Children ages 3 to 5 carry home memories of a field trip by making prints and solar art, 9:30 to 11 a.m. Costs $7. Call the Hawai'i Nature Center at 955-0100.



CONTINUING

"Spiders!" on display: Enter the world of the eight-legged, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through Jan. 1 at Bishop Museum. See how Hawaii spiders fit into arachnid society and try interactive games. Admission is $14.95 general, $11.95 youths, seniors and military. Call 847-3511.

Tropical plant nature walk: 10 a.m. Saturdays and 1 p.m. Sundays at Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden. Free. Bring walking shoes, insect repellent and rain gear. Call 233-7323 for reservations.

Train rides: Enjoy a 90-minute ride through Ewa 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. Sundays with the Hawaiian Railway Society, 91-1001 Renton Road. Passengers should arrive a half hour before departure time. Costs $8 general, $5 seniors and children. Reservations 681-5461.



LOOKING AHEAD

Starring animals: Zoolites features life-size light sculptures of flamingos, lions and other animals at the Honolulu Zoo, beginning Dec. 5. The holiday display will be open 5 to 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays through Jan. 4. Admission is $3 adults, $1 children. Call 926-3191.

Expression Session: Children ages 5 to 12 exercise their artistic ability while their parents tour the galleries of the Contemporary Museum, 1:30 to 3 p.m. Dec. 7. Costs $10 general. Reserve at 526-1322.

Wiggly Worms: Hawai'i Nature Center on Maui has activities for worm lovers 3 and older, 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 7. Costs $7. Call 244-6500, Maui.
