RANDY Lee, suffering from cancer, came directly from the hospital to a luncheon show in his honor at the Dole Ballroom Sunday. The former Willows owner and ex-Halekulani G.M. was upbeat as he spoke to the crowd of 500. He warned the people to take good care of their health, or they'll be forced to suffer hospital food. Speaking from the heart, he urged people to find it in themselves to do something for this "wonderful land we call home," to give something back and to take care of it. He also urged support for the visitor industry. "In our family, our hero is Sunny Jean," he said. Sunny Jean is his wife and mother of their five children. Dick and Joan Rodby, their daughter Robyn, Nalani Olds, Irmgard Aluli, the Dole Ballroom people and scores of entertainers who performed at the Willows, Halekulani and Kemoo Farm pitched in to make the event a rousing success ...
