The March of Dimes, Chapter of the Pacific, is awarding grants to Hawaii nonprofit agencies that address issues of teen pregnancy, substance abuse, domestic violence, and infant mortality research. Up to $10,000 is available to organizations. Deadline for applications is Sept. 30. Call 536-1045.
The Citizen Action Project is seeking volunteers for a cleanup of Makiki Stream from 9-11 a.m. Saturday. Volunteers should wear sturdy footwear and meet at King Street and Kalakaua Avenue near Jack in the Box. Call David Hill, 941-4854.
