Royal Garden Cup golf tournament: Registration begins 9 a.m. Friday at the Luana Hills Country Club, Maunawili. The day concludes with an awards banquet at the Renaissance Restaurant. Bowl For Kids' Sake: Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Maui offers team competition, food, prizes and a silent auction, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 3 at the Aloha Bowling Center in Kahului. Teams consist of five bowlers, with each asked to raise a minimum of $50 in donations -- the bowler who raises the most money wins a trip for two to Las Vegas. Heart Walk: The American Heart Association fund-raiser begins and finishes at Kapiolani Park on Aug. 10. Participants in the 5.5-mile walk collect donations. Those who raise more than $100 receive prizes; the one who raises the most donations wins a neighbor island getaway for two. Call 538-7021.

"Once Upon a Dream" fashion show: Liberty House produces an elegant luncheon and fashion show featuring the St. John Fall collection, Aug. 17 in the Sheraton Waikiki Hawaii Ballroom.
