"Part of my job is to shed light on the well-rounded experience Iolani School provides," Mosteller said. "The school has come a long way since it was founded 130 years ago. In addition to excellent academic programs, Iolani students thrive in sports, the fine arts and performing arts."

The school has a long-term goal to raise funds for a performing arts center but no date is set on when that will begin, she said.

Mosteller was promotions manager for KITV Channel 4 in Honolulu. She also has worked as writer-producer for WTOK-TV in Meridan, Miss.; director of public relations for the Lower Florida Keys Hospital; and features editor/writer for the Key West Citizen in Key West, Fla.

She earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and business administration at the University of Washington.
