Although the face value for the tickets remains the same - $16 for sideline seats and $14 for end zone - season-ticket holders won't be offered last year's $1 discount.
UH fans paid $105 for sideline seats and $91 for end zone for seven home games in 1995. This year it will be $128 and $112, respectively, for eight home games.
Hawaii hosts Boston College on Aug. 31, Ohio University on Sept. 7, Boise State on Sept. 21, Colorado State on Oct. 5, Nevada-Las Vegas on Oct. 19, San Jose State on Nov. 9, Brigham Young University on Nov. 16 and Wisconsin on Nov. 30.
The four away games are Wyoming, Air Force, Fresno State and San Diego State.
"We've already received a lot of interest in football," UH assistant athletic director Jim Donovan said. "(New UH head coach) Fred vonAppen has been in high demand as a speaker this spring at various functions. So hopefully, there will be a renewed interest."
UH football season-ticket figures have dropped by almost 5,000 a game since 1992. Last year, the UH football team had about 27,000 season-ticket holders that helped generate nearly $2.57 million.
Although those numbers fell short of projected figures by a whopping $460,000, the two UH volleyball programs will help keep the department in the black.
This year's projection for the men's volleyball team was $100,000. Total sales will be close to $500,000 once the season is done.
Not surprisingly, ticket prices for men's and women's volleyball will increase next year by $1 to $9 for lower level and $7 for upper level seats.
