- Chinatown walking tours: Chinatown Historical Society tours are 10 a.m. Mondays through Fridays. Costs $5. Call 521-3045.
Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii tours are 9:30 a.m. to noon Tuesdays. Costs $5. Call 533-3181.
Hawaii Heritage Center offers a historic and cultural tour 9:30 a.m. to noon Fridays. Costs $4. Call 521-2749.
- Foster Botanical Garden: 1 p.m. weekdays. Costs $5. Call 522-7066.
- Urban Garden Center: 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays, 962 Second St., Pearl City. Call 453-6050. Educational center for home gardeners is also open the first Saturday of each month.
- Halawa Xeriscape Garden: Dryland plants, free admission 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays, Halawa Industrial Park. Guided tours are free on Thursdays and the last Saturday of each month at 9, 10 and 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.; call 527-6113 for an appointment.
- Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden: Rain forest plants, 10 a.m. Saturdays and 1 p.m. Sundays. Free. Bring walking shoes, bug repellent, rain gear and a picnic. Call 233-7323 for reservations.
- Hawaii Ghost Tours: See haunted spots on a three-hour bus tour 6:30 p.m. Saturdays. Narrated tour includes stops at cemeteries, hotels, an ancient temple, the Royal Mausoleum and the Pali Lookout. Costs $25. Call 396-3438.
- Hawaiian Railway: Historical train rides, 1 and 3 p.m. Sundays, 91-1001 Renton Road, Ewa. Costs $8 general, $5 children and seniors. Call 681-5461.
