The third annual Waikiki by Moonlight block party was held last night along Kalakaua Avenue -- despite the fact that there was no moonlight, with the moon in the "new moon" phase. Japanese visitors Yuki Ariga, left, and Maki Kumakara watched as dancers from Halau Hula Olana spread aloha through the crowd. The event, presented by ResortQuest Hawaii, the Hawaii Tourism Authority and the City & County of Honolulu, showcases the best of what Waikiki has to offer and was produced by the Waikiki Improvement Association.

The 3rd Annual Citizenship Fair was held yesterday at Honolulu Community College. U.S. Rep. Neil Abercrombie and 17 lawyers from the community, Na Loio-Immigrant Rights and Public Interest Legal Center, Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii, William S. Richardson School of Law Immigration Law Clinic, and American Immigration Lawyers Association-Hawaii Chapter helped local residents attain U.S. citizenship. There were demonstrations and an autograph session with some of the biggest names in skateboarding, including Chris Senn, Colin Provost, Hendley, Danilo de Rosario, Sasha Steinhorst, PJ Ladd, Colin McKay, Danny Way, Ryan Smith, Brian Wenning, Ryan Gallant, Josh Kalis and Devine Calloway.
