LaTech deals Wahine worst loss of season

RUSTON, La. » The longest road trip of the year ended with the biggest loss of the year for the Hawaii women's basketball team.

Louisiana Tech scored the first six points of the game and never looked back in thumping the Rainbow Wahine 90-53 last night. JoKeirra Sneed had 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Lady Techsters (10-10, 4-3 Western Athletic Conference).

Sophomore guard Megan Tinnin scored 15 points, all on 3-pointers, for Hawaii (8-13, 2-6). Wahine volleyball player Tara Hittle, in her first year with the basketball team, had six points and nine rebounds.

Hawaii gave up 51 points in the first half last night, the most this season, in trailing 51-24 at intermission.
