Injury takes fight out of Lawler
Icon Sport world middleweight champion Robbie Lawler suffered a torn bicep in training last week and has pulled out of his title defense against Waianae's Kala Kolohe Hose scheduled for Saturday at the Blaisdell Arena.
It's the second time a fight between the two has been postponed. They were first going to meet in June before Lawler had to withdraw from that fight with a dislocated shoulder.
Hose (4-1) has won his last three fights by knockout in 67 seconds or less.
A press conference has been set for 2 p.m. today to discuss the status of Saturday's event. Lawler, Hose, Icon Sport President T. Jay Thompson and promoter Patrick Freitas will all be in attendance.
