Sensley waiting, but not worried
Former Hawaii standout Julian Sensley is playing the waiting game as he anticipates a possible free-agent contract with an NBA team.
The 6-foot-9 forward said he'll probably know more tomorrow or Saturday as teams sign free agents who weren't selected in yesterday's NBA Draft.
"I'm not really worried about it. I should be all right," he said last night.
Sensley, UH's leading scorer last season, is looking to play in an NBA Summer League next month. A strong showing in the summer leagues, which primarily feature rookies and free agents, could then lead to an invitation to a team's training camp.
Louisiana Tech forward Paul Millsap was the only Western Athletic Conference player selected in yesterday's NBA Draft, going to the Utah Jazz in the second round.
Millsap was among several drafted players who visited the state last season. Michigan State guards Shannon Brown and Maurice Ager and forward Paul Davis opened the season against UH and went on to a third-place finish in the EA Sports Maui Invitational.
